6 pm – 7 pm · Nederland Mining Museum
Venue
Boulder County museum of hard-rock mining, with trams, ore carts, engines, historic photographs and claim maps. Free; open Fridays to Sundays from June 1 through October 31.
Boulder County Parks & Open Space runs the Nederland Mining Museum on North Bridge Street, covering hard-rock mining in the county in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Displays inside and out include tools of the trade, trams, ore carts, engines, historic photographs, rare mining claim maps and a mineral display.
Admission is free. The Nederland Area Historical Society created the museum and ran it until the county bought the collection in the fall of 2012; the society still runs the Gillaspie House at Bridge and 4th Streets.
